A funny and touching tale about little Max the reluctant superhero. It won the 2000 Smarties Prize Gold Medal. Readership level: 3+.
Synopsis
It's not easy being the son of legendary superheroes. Max has a cape and a mask, but he doesn't fly. His parents just can't understand it, and nor can the children at school. But one day he does fly - to save a falling baby bird. He then decides to be a small hero, doing small deeds.
