Trade review
Paperback edition of Michael Frayn's follow-up to "Headlong", which has done very well in hardback, and which has been widely acclaimed by broadsheet reviewers: ""Spies" improves upon re-reading, which is the true test of depth. It is cerebral and sensuous; extremely funny and yet deeply serious" "Sunday Telegraph". "Frayn has never written more seductively and surely than in this book" "Sunday Times". London Underground posters and national press ads will be part of a major marketing campaign for this title.
Synopsis
There is very little evidence of the war where Keith and Stephen live. But the two friends suspect the inhabitants of the close aren't what they seem. As Keith informs his trusting friend, the district is riddled with secret passages and underground labs.
