New edition of Ted Hughes' selected poems which reveals him as our most lavish, accurate and sympathetic celebrant of the physical world, and least intimidated explorer of the metaphysical. Publication coincides with Hughes' 65th birthday and "South Bank Show" to mark the occasion. A hardback edition is also available.
Synopsis
A selection of work by the former Poet Laureate ranging from "The Hawk in the Rain" to "Rain-Charm for the Duchy", as well as uncollected poems from each decade of his working life. Hughes also included a group of new poems, some of which appeared later in "Birthday Letters".
