Keen to get in on the want-fest that was the Sex and the City movie, Pan has pioneered the art of product placement in reverse. Love Letters of Great Men, as every SATC fan knows, was the volume responsible for saving the Big/Bradshaw marriage (aided by a walk-in closet and some irresistible heels). That the book didn't exist at the time must have set hearts aflutter in the publishing world. So, here they are: the moony missives of Beethoven, Napoleon et al. Chocolate-box overload is a problem - consume in small doses - but who would not be wooed by Nathaniel Hawthorne? "I want thee much. Thou art the only person in the world that ever was necessary to me." What did he say on Mother's Day, though?
